ANEMOIA

Who we are

What is this feeling that something is changing?

Asociación Anemoia is the crystallization of a collective project by artists and researchers exploring prophecy and the anticipation of transformation —that precise moment just before knowing what is about to come. Our starting point was an artistic residency at Fundación Épica Fura dels Baus, where we first materialized these ideas in a video installation with a soundscape. The event, El Suceso, focused on landscapes of change, and became a crucial experience in coordinating diverse talents and producing artistic projects with strong conceptual grounding and high aesthetic quality.

Our method is clear: theoretical research leads artistic exploration.

Our commitment lies in shaping a space for reflection and creation.

What We’ve Done

Recently, we gave a lecture at Matadero as part of XVS Center II, in which we explored waiting time and nostalgia. Following this, we continued working on the theoretical and practical grounding of prophetic times, generating and exploring the ecology of archetypal landscapes. But above all, we keep wandering in the desert, searching for signs of change.

Previously, Anemoia proposed “El Suceso” (The Event) and presented it at Fundación Épica in Badalona, Barcelona. The works presented on this occasion by the collective introduce the universe of La Hammada, a project that explores waiting and the anticipation of change through the lens of new prophecies and virtual collapse. At first glance, these pieces seem to capture the apparent calm of a rocky desert, but beneath this silent surface lies a constant tension—a sense of imminent transformation.
